Service to the community through charitable organisations

Mark Pomeroy and the entire Pomeroy Pacific team announce with great pride and pleasure that our Executive Chairman, Dug Pomeroy, has been recognised with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List, in particular for his service to the community through charitable organisations.

Throughout his life, Dug has supported many charitable and community organisations, serving on a number of Fundraising Boards and Committees as well as being a generous benefactor. The Award has brought a bright light to what has otherwise been a cloudy and challenging eighteen months as the world has grappled with Covid-19.

When asked to comment, Dug said, “I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive this recognition. It punctuates 50 years of being involved in philanthropy at various times of my journey and 50 years in the building and property industry.”

On behalf of all at Pomeroy Pacific, we congratulate Dug on this wonderful recognition.
